Lachlan Jardine

Kia ora! I’m Lachlan, and I’m a law and commerce student at the University of Auckland! While I’m only in year one of my university adventure, I’m currently considering majoring in economics and either management or international business. In high school, I studied NCEA and was lucky to be Takapuna Grammar’s Dux for 2022 - I placed first in Accounting, Calculus and English, second in Economics and third in Classics. I received excellence endorsements from NZQA in all my subjects at Levels 2 and 3; I also achieved scholarships in Classics, Economics and Accounting, as well as an Outstanding Scholarship in English two years in a row. 

I attribute much of my academic success to taking as many opportunities as possible to ask questions and further my understanding as a learner. My tutoring style is centred around providing a safe environment to ask questions; students often learn best when they are leading the discussion. Outside of university, I sing in the Auckland Youth Choir and volunteer with UN Youth; I also enjoy cycling around the neighbourhood and playing board games with my friends and family.
