Kia ora! I am a student at the University of Auckland currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in psychology and health & society, and I plan to study medicine in the future. I aspire to become a paediatrician, so I decided to study psychology before studying medicine to be able to care for both the physical and mental health of children. At University, I currently maintain a GPA of 9.0.
In high school, I was fortunate enough to study the IB Diploma program and attained the Summa Cum Laude award in my final year for academic excellence. In the IB diploma program, I received a 7 in IB English A and Japanese B HL as well as a 6 in HL Biology and Economics. I am a bilingual tutor (English and Japanese) with 5 years of teaching experience, and I strive to provide a safe, judgement-free learning environment. As a psychology student and as someone who struggled with mental health and overcame these challenges during high school, I am passionate about providing holistic care for my students. In my lessons, I provide mental health and study advice based on my experience as a student while also tutoring the subject content. I enjoyed high school and thrived in academics, the arts, and leadership. I was lucky enough to be appointed leadership roles such as School Prefect, Head of House, debate mentor, choir section leader, and Amnesty leader. I aim to use the valuable skills I obtained throughout high school and university to assist students in my tutoring and coaching sessions, so they can experience similar success, fulfilment, and joy in high school. Outside of school, I enjoy singing, reading, playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family! 日本語での指導も承っております。ご希望の方はお気軽に日本語でご連絡下さい(担当 山口) Subjects I can tutor: IB & NCEA English (NCEA Level 1-2 and IB SL), IB & NCEA Japanese (all levels & scholarship), IB & NCEA Biology (all levels), IB & NCEA Chemistry (NCEA Level 1-2 and IB SL & HL), NCEA Economics (NCEA Level 1-2), IB Coaching
