Megan Williams
NCEA Tutor
Hi, I'm Megan. I am a university student studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences at Massey University. I graduated from Mount Albert Grammar School in 2020, where I was Head Girl and won Best All Round Girl in Year 12 and Year 13. At school, I achieved Excellence endorsements in NCEA Physics, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, English, and PE, and NZQA Scholarships in Statistics and Biology. At university, I have received the Massey Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship, the Liddell Scholarship, and a School of Veterinary Sciences Summer Research Scholarship. I have been tutoring for 5 years up to a university level. I love helping students build confidence in their abilities and like to find methods that work and make sense to them. It is really rewarding seeing how much they improve!
I spent a lot of my time at school playing sports and have continued playing football, water polo, and netball. I have coached softball and waterpolo, and am currently a volunteer committee member of Manawatu Waterpolo Club. At high school, I was an active member in many clubs and also did dance lessons for 14 years. At uni, I have spent time volunteering at the Massey University Wildbase (a vet clinic for native animals) and helping with free SPCA desexing of cats. When I have some free time, I enjoy spending time crocheting, sewing, and baking. I am very passionate about helping students not only achieve their best academically but also get involved in extracurriculars.Â
Subjects I can tutor: NCEA Biology (Level 1-2), NCEA Chemistry (Level 1-2), NCEA Physics (all levels), NCEA Statistics (all levels), NCEA Calculus (Level 1-2)
