Nikita Bhana

NCEA Tutor

Kia Ora! I'm Nikita. I am studying for a Bachelor of Law and Arts (criminology) at the University of Auckland. Previously, I studied NCEA at St Cuthberts College in Auckland. I received excellent endorsements in various subjects, such as English Literature, History, and Biology. Furthermore, I was privileged enough to be awarded Dean's Honours in History in my final year. I have had many years of tutoring experience, from high school years all the way to university-level courses. By starting my own academic club in high school and tutoring women in the law, I have had a wide variety of experiences. This has been reflected in my teaching for students; students' learning development is vital to me, and their overall well-being is fundamental to success in any field, which has led to my passion for tutoring students.

Outside of studying, I have a variety of passions and interests. In high school, I was involved in various sports like netball, hockey, and dragon boating. Furthermore, I involved myself in cultural interests in the school, such as cultural dance groups, reading clubs and directing live performances of Shakespeare's work. Outside of school, I have always been involved in volunteering. Places like Elizabeth Knox and Ronald McDonald House are vital parts of my community where I have volunteered. I am an avid reader in my downtime, picking up any fantasy book possible. Or you can catch me surfing waves with the University of Auckland's surfing club.

Subjects I can tutor: NCEA English (all levels), NCEA History (all levels)
