Tony Tian

Kia Ora! I am a medical student at the University of Otago. I achieved level 2 and 3 excellence in NCEA, first overall in calculus and physics, and scholarship calculus. I have about three years of tutoring experience in group teaching and 1 to 1. I love keeping the teaching environment light and humorous, making learning an inherently enjoyable experience. My teaching style gravitates towards ‘first principle thinking’, which is the idea that the understanding and integration of the most basics is the absolute core of problem-solving, versus learning by analogy. 

Outside my degree, I enjoy playing basketball, skiing, jam sessions with my flatmates, and hip-hop dancing. Just a bit of extra fun fact, I also run my own YouTube channel.
